Summary: Briar Rose is a book about Becca. Becca's grandmother has recently passed, and Becca is stricken by her vow to 'Gemma' at her deathbed, a vow to find everything out, to learn everything. None of the family knows much of their beloved Gemma's past, even her name is not certain, the only thing they know, is the fairy tale she always recited, her own version of Briar Rose. After her grandmother's passing, Becca discovers a box among her belongings, in the box is the start of a journey leading her with many answers, but still many more questions. Her search leads her to Poland, back to the years of war, back to Chelmno. The answer there might not be exactly what she expected.

Why would you reccomend this book? I would, it's the definition of irony, when it comes to the sterotype Sleeping Beauty. It is a story to remember. Rating it, I would give it a seven out of ten, one of the better books I have read for school. The begining would be better off, if it could grab you, early on. I would definatly reccomend this book, it is simply brilliant.
